About The Position

The Marketing & Events Manager will play a key role in advancing the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County by assisting with the execution of strategic marketing initiatives and overseeing all event planning and logistics. This position is responsible for implementing the organization’s Resource & Development communications plan, managing multi-channel marketing efforts, and ensuring successful, well-coordinated events that strengthen community engagement and support fundraising goals. Additionally, this role identifies and develops revenue opportunities by leveraging Club facilities for external events and partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Nonprofit Management, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, or a related role (nonprofit experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with social media management tools, email marketing platforms, and website content management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders
  • Creative thinker with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a nonprofit or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Resource & Development communications plan in alignment with organizational goals
  • Manage all social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, engagement, and performance tracking
  • Coordinate and distribute monthly newsletters to stakeholders, donors, and the community
  • Oversee website content, including blog management and updates to ensure timely, relevant messaging
  • Assist with the development and coordination of the organization’s annual report
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support pre- and post-event marketing efforts, including promotional campaigns and donor solicitation materials
  • Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all organizational events from concept to completion
  • Develop and manage event timelines, task lists, and project plans to ensure seamless execution
  • Serve as the primary liaison with vendors, venues, and service providers
  • Oversee all logistical details, including catering, audiovisual needs, setup/teardown, and volunteer coordination
  • Monitor event budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery
  • Ensure all stewardship activities (donor recognition, follow-up communications, reporting) are completed in a timely manner
  • Research and identify revenue-generating opportunities through use of Boys & Girls Clubs facilities
  • Develop partnerships with community groups, organizations, and businesses interested in hosting events or activities at Club locations
  • Coordinate logistics and agreements related to facility use
  • Collaborate with leadership to align revenue opportunities with organizational priorities and mission
