About The Position

Balto is seeking a dedicated Marketing Events Manager to own their event strategy and execution from end to end. This role involves managing everything from national trade shows to intimate executive dinners, with the goal of turning event engagement into tangible pipeline. The position is remote, open to candidates in the U.S., and requires regular travel to events. This is a builder's role for someone who thrives on detailed planning, impactful execution, and data-driven results.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3 to 5+ years in event marketing or field marketing.
  • Experience running events for a B2B SaaS tech company.
  • Experience owning events end to end, from strategy and budget to on-site execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Genuinely excited to build and create from the ground up.
  • Experience working with Sales and BDR/SDR teams to turn events into meetings and pipeline.
  • Comfortable owning a budget and holding vendors, venues, and agencies to a high standard.
  • Calm under pressure, resourceful on-site, and always working the next contingency.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot and event/lead-capture tools.
  • Ability to read data to understand event performance.
  • Strong copywriting skills for effective event promotion.
  • Data-obsessed and results-driven mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on a small events team (one to three people).
  • Experience building and utilizing AI tools (GPTs, agents, custom workflows) for event-related tasks such as creating invites, follow-up sequences, recap content, landing pages, and outreach at scale.
  • Experience wiring AI into event operations for list segmentation, lead enrichment, personalization, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of the latest AI developments from major providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, xAI) and ability to implement them quickly.
  • Experience with user conferences or flagship events.
  • Hands-on ABM or intent-data experience for event targeting.
  • Experience building a personal brand or community in the marketing and events space.

Responsibilities

  • Own Balto's event calendar across trade shows, conferences, and private/field events, including strategy, tiering, goal setting, and annual planning.
  • Manage sponsorship strategy, booth presence, contracts, shipping, staffing, and run-of-show for trade shows and conferences.
  • Serve as the on-site lead for events, overseeing setup, staffing, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Design and execute executive dinners, roundtables, hospitality suites, and customer/user events, focusing on exclusive details and guest experience.
  • Partner with Sales and BDRs to define target-account lists, conduct pre-event outreach, and set up on-site meetings.
  • Own post-event follow-up, including segmented lists, timely outreach, and clear next steps for attendees and no-shows.
  • Manage event budgets, negotiate with and manage vendors, venues, agencies, and contractors.
  • Track and report on event performance, including pipeline sourced/influenced, meetings booked, and cost per opportunity.
  • Manage event data in HubSpot for accurate routing, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Utilize HubSpot for event registration, reminders, follow-up flows, and attribution.
  • Implement automations for event operations, such as registration, reminders, and follow-up.
  • Test new event formats, markets, booth ideas, and follow-up strategies.
  • Lead special projects, such as user conferences or unique activation events, that drive pipeline and build the brand.
