About The Position

This role is responsible for tasks across a wide range of areas including writing product descriptions, managing listings, sending email campaigns, engaging with customers on social media, participating in online communities, and conducting competitor research. The position requires someone who can read a task, think it through, and complete it effectively with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is comfortable figuring things out, checks their own work, and communicates proactively about any issues. This role is not a graphic design or strategist position, but rather focuses on reliability, strong writing skills, and a commitment to ensuring work is effective. There is potential for growth within the role for individuals who approach it with the right mindset. The company is seeking individuals with an interest in the automotive industry or electronics.

Requirements

  • Strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage several different types of tasks without dropping details.
  • Comfortable learning new platforms and tools as needed.
  • Habit of checking whether your work is performing, not just completing it.
  • Clear, professional communicator.
  • 3 to 6 months of hands-on experience executing marketing or e-commerce tasks across multiple platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (BigCommerce, Amazon, eBay).
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools and basic performance metrics.
  • Experience managing social media accounts in a business setting.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles.
  • Familiarity with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • Interest in the automotive industry, circuit boards, right to repair, or technical products.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain product listings on BigCommerce, Amazon, and eBay.
  • Update existing listings for clarity, accuracy, and stronger selling points, sometimes using basic HTML and CSS.
  • Investigate past orders and customer questions to improve listing content.
  • Track listing performance and flag areas needing attention.
  • Track and monitor campaign performance, including open rates, clicks, and conversions.
  • Produce blog posts that support SEO and help customers understand products.
  • Write product descriptions and website copy that are accurate and informative.
  • Manage daily interactions across social platforms, including comments, DMs, and mentions.
  • Participate in relevant forums and online groups, focusing on helpfulness and community building.
  • Maintain a consistent, trustworthy brand voice in all interactions.
  • Track competitor content strategies, pricing, and ad approaches.
  • Identify gaps in customer communication and propose improvements.
  • Report on the performance of managed channels.
