As a Kiva Intern, you will contribute your passion, drive, ideas, and expertise to expand Kiva's reach and impact while taking on immediate and significant responsibilities within your team. In addition to learning on the job, you'll partake in a variety of educational, social, and professional development workshops and events that will accelerate your professional growth while learning about Kiva and the non-profit, technology, and microfinance sectors. This volunteer internship aims to provide a high-caliber learning experience. Upon completing the internship program, interns will gain many in-demand job skills, exposure to foundational microfinance concepts, and ongoing professional development tailored to their career goals. This position will also put interns in contact with a wide array of employees around the world, giving them a jump start on networking opportunities.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • At least 21 years of age or older by July 14th, 2026
  • Able to commit to the full 6-month term
  • Bachelor’s degree or enrollment at a senior level in a related degree program (e.g., marketing, project management, communications, operations, etc.)
  • Ideally, examples of establishing operational &/or collaborative documentation
  • Ideally, experience with project management & wiki tools

Responsibilities

  • Review internal tools & storage (Confluence, Asana, GDrive, etc.) and document what information is located where.
  • Propose a structure for how to consolidate & organize all resources in an efficient way that’s easy to navigate & maintain.
  • Create the approved infrastructure with accompanying infrastructure.
  • Create & update the Asana project with the guidance of the Creative Project Manager.
  • Document and train the Marketing department into proper use and maintenance of the new infrastructure.
  • Provide a summary of the project using project management metrics established at the start of the project.
