Marketing Director

The Redlands Chamber of CommerceRedlands, CA

About The Position

The Marketing Director is KWB Wealth's senior marketing leader, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the firm's marketing strategy. Reporting to the Business Development Officer (BDO), this role combines strategic vision with operational discipline, ensuring that all initiatives align with KWB's mission of helping committed individuals accumulate wealth. Grounded in integrity, quality growth, purposeful leadership, and approachable professionalism, the Marketing Director ensures that every campaign reflects who we are as a firm: trusted advisors, authentic communicators, and positive disruptors in the financial planning space. Equally important, this role is the steward of the KWB brand — a brand cultivated over 30 years. The Marketing Director must first learn, respect, and uphold the identity we have built, ensuring every message, strategy, and campaign aligns with our established reputation. While we welcome innovation and fresh ideas to shape the brand for future growth, this must be done in harmony with what has been built — not by compromising it, but by strengthening it.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, ideally in financial or professional services.
  • Proven success in designing and executing campaigns with measurable results.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and cost accountability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts into approachable messages.
  • Experience managing and mentoring staff, with a track record of fostering quality growth in both people and processes.
  • Proficiency with marketing technology, SEO, analytics, and design tools (Adobe Suite and related).
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity in communication, purposeful leadership in initiatives, and approachable professionalism in client and team interactions.
  • Ability to learn and uphold an established brand, ensuring all marketing initiatives honor KWB's 30-year reputation while supporting opportunities for future growth.
  • Embody integrity by honoring commitments, being transparent, and aligning intention with impact.
  • Demonstrate a grounded, discerning, and confident presence — easy to communicate with, composed under pressure, and uncompromising in upholding relationships, self-respect, and the mission of the firm.
  • Listen first, then respond; earn respect by being approachable, thoughtful, and consistent.
  • Model purposeful, passionate leadership by anticipating needs, taking initiative, and ensuring smooth execution through foresight and preparation.
  • Drive quality growth by making decisions that support the long-term success of clients, the firm, and the team.
  • Balance approachability and professionalism — bringing authority with humility, and supporting others' success as a reflection of the team's success.
  • Anchor in KWB's North Star and mission mindset, ensuring that marketing serves not only firm growth but also client trust and community impact.
  • Serve as a guardian of the KWB brand, maintaining consistency across all communications and ensuring that brand evolution enhances, rather than disrupts, what has been built.

Responsibilities

  • Lead firm-wide marketing strategy across digital, social, events, and referral programs.
  • Safeguard brand consistency, reputation, and compliance in all external communications.
  • Translate leadership vision into actionable, measurable campaigns, events, and processes.
  • Ensure that every marketing piece, campaign, and vendor output reflects and supports the KWB brand.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget; track spending, forecast needs, and report variances to the BDO.
  • Own all marketing and business development vendor contracts, including review, renewal tracking, and compliance with terms.
  • Coach and develop the marketing team (CAD, CEM, and Marketing Coordinator) to align and achieve excellence.
  • Create and maintain systems: calendars, workflows, templates, and reporting structures.
  • Direct and oversee vendors and agencies for SEO, analytics, and digital advertising as needed.
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen initiatives that deepen client trust and drive referrals.
