About The Position

The Marketing Content Specialist brings campaign strategy to life through compelling, mission-driven content across all channels. This role focuses on generating, testing, and optimizing content to strengthen messaging and maximize engagement. Using data and creative insights, the Marketing Content Specialist ensures all copy is clear, effective and aligned with ministry and campaign goals in order to engage women in knowing and living the truth of God’s Word.

Requirements

  • An understanding of and a commitment to the mission and values of Proverbs 31 Ministries.
  • 3–5 years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, engagement, and conversion.
  • Openness to feedback with a strong sense of discernment - knowing when to refine and when to stand firm.
  • Ability to execute within a defined content strategy and messaging framework.
  • An understanding of multi-channel marketing and campaign execution.
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation and ability to adapt messaging accordingly.
  • Experience using AI tools to support content creation and optimization.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • A collaborative, humble, and team-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ministry, nonprofit, Christian media, or donor communications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Fundraise Up, or marketing automation platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with teams across the ministry to create clear, compelling, conversion-focused content that supports engagement and fundraising initiatives across email, landing pages, web banners, donor communications, and product pages.
  • Take campaign briefs and messaging frameworks and turn them into content that connects, makes sense to readers, and inspires them to take a next step.
  • Thoughtfully adapt messaging for different audiences (donors, subscribers, participants) while keeping a consistent voice, tone, and strong theological alignment.
  • Ensure every piece of content is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with the heart and goals of the campaign.
  • Use AI tools, audience feedback, and performance insights to strengthen and refine content and increase engagement.
  • Repurpose content across channels in ways that feel intentional and tailored, not duplicated.
  • Develop and test variations (subject lines, hooks, calls-to-action) to learn what resonates and improves performance over time.
  • Bring ideas to the table that help improve how the team writes, creates, and collaborates.
  • Help ensure messaging is consistent and connected across every campaign touchpoint — so the audience experiences one clear, cohesive message and knows what to do next
  • Strengthen flow, clarity, and transitions within messaging so it feels natural, intentional, and easy to follow.
  • Consider how each piece of content fits into the larger audience journey, ensuring messaging meets people where they are and guides them toward a clear next step.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or friction in messaging and take initiative to strengthen the overall experience.
