About The Position

ESPN New York is seeking an experienced, results-driven Marketing Consultant to join our high-performing sales team. As the flagship home of the New York Knicks & New York Rangers, along with market-leading programming, ESPN New York connects brands with highly engaged audiences across multiple platforms. We're looking for a motivated sales professional who is passionate about helping businesses grow through strategic marketing partnerships and who thrives in a competitive, relationship-driven environment. As a Marketing Consultant, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to local and regional businesses, developing customized marketing solutions that leverage the power and reach of the ESPN New York brand. You'll build long-term partnerships by understanding partner goals and creating impactful campaigns across audio, digital, social, video, and experiential platforms. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to business development, a consultative marketing minded approach to sales, and the ability to uncover opportunities that help partners achieve measurable results.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ Years’ Sales Experience. Preferably in New York local market or sports media sales
  • Experience selling play by play sports preferred
  • Existing relationships with advertisers who target sports content preferred
  • Strong network and relationships within the New York Community
  • Goal oriented and creative self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Passion to be a part of a team and the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment - a multi-tasker
  • Willingness to accept and provide feedback
  • Familiarity in CRM tool such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • With this career, you are required to hold a valid driver’s license, and meeting partners at their locations/place of business is an essential part of this position

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities throughout the New York market including for New York Knicks and Rangers play by play assets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, identifying opportunities for continued growth and partnership.
  • Develop & maintain thorough knowledge of the complete portfolio of ESPN New York’s assets.
  • Create customized, multi-platform marketing solutions utilizing ESPN New York's audio, digital, social, video, and event assets.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations & campaigns that align marketing strategies with partner objectives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and local market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of partner campaigns.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed revenue goals through strategic account management and new business development.
  • Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to improve new business outreach, partner research, campaign development, communication, and sales effectiveness while maintaining a high level of personalization and partner interaction.
