About The Position

MountainOne's Marketing team plays a key role in strengthening our brand, supporting business growth, and fostering meaningful connections throughout the communities we serve. As a Marketing & Community Engagement Intern, you'll help bring those efforts to life. Working alongside experienced marketing professionals, you'll support community events, create engaging content, assist with marketing campaigns, and contribute to initiatives that enhance MountainOne's visibility and reputation. This role offers hands-on experience across marketing, communications, social media, public relations, content creation, and community engagement. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, contribute creative ideas, and gain exposure to how marketing supports both business objectives and community impact. This is an ideal opportunity for a creative, self-motivated individual who enjoys storytelling, content creation, and community involvement and is eager to develop professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Applicants must be located in and familiar with the Berkshire County communities we serve.
• Ability to work regularly in our North Adams office and travel locally throughout Berkshire County for events and community activities, with reliable transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with familiarity using social media platforms.
• Enrolled in a two- or four-year college program, preferably studying Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other graphic design software is highly desirable.
• Community-minded, with a passion for giving back and representing MountainOne in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of community events, sponsorships, volunteer activities, and other engagement initiatives.
• Creating content for social media, internal communications, and marketing campaigns, including writing, photography, graphic design, and video.
• Monitoring marketing and social media trends while identifying opportunities for creative content, community storytelling, and audience engagement.
• Assisting with public relations efforts, community outreach initiatives, and special projects that enhance MountainOne's visibility and reputation.
• Supporting MountainOne's Storybook Program and other community-focused initiatives through event coordination, promotional activities, and occasional mascot appearances at community events.
• Conducting research, compiling data, and assisting with reporting to support marketing and business development initiatives.
• Managing promotional inventory and helping prepare materials for events, meetings, and community programs.
• Collaborating with team members across the organization while contributing creative ideas and fresh perspectives to ongoing projects.
