Marketing & Communications Manager

Airco•New Britain, PA
•Onsite

About The Position

AIRCO is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to execute day-to-day brand communications across social media, public relations, content, events, and brand activations. Working from established priorities and direction, this person will turn technical milestones, company news, and ideas into clear, engaging content and experiences. The role is hands-on: the manager will create assets, use AI and other modern tools where appropriate, and present work and recommendations. This is an execution role, not a marketing strategy role, and calls for someone who takes direction well, is coachable, and delivers with pace and quality. The position reports to the CEO, with a dotted line to the fractional CMO. It is in person three days a week at AIRCO's site in New Britain, Pennsylvania. Employment is conditioned on the candidate's ability to obtain and maintain any government authorization required to access controlled technology or information, which may include a security clearance, export license, or other documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in brand marketing, communications, social media, PR, content, or an adjacent marketing role.
  • Strong understanding of modern brand communications and how platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram are used differently to build awareness and engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to create polished marketing assets and content personally, rather than relying entirely on agencies or designers.
  • Experience executing communications plans, social plans, events, or brand activations from direction through delivery.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and visual judgment.
  • Highly organized and responsive, with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve.
  • Strong proficiency with modern marketing and creative tools, including AI-enabled content creation tools and presentation/design software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government authorization required for access to controlled technology or information, where applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer products, fashion, lifestyle, hospitality, or another brand-led physical-product environment.
  • Experience in a startup, growth-stage company, or small marketing team with hands-on execution across multiple channels.
  • Experience supporting trade shows, experiential marketing, or large-scale brand activations.
  • A technical, engineering, or science-related degree followed by a career in marketing or communications.
  • Experience translating technical or complex subject matter into accessible content.

Responsibilities

  • Execute brand communications across LinkedIn, Instagram, public relations, company channels, and other relevant platforms, building channel and communications plans from established priorities.
  • Create polished brand content and assets, including social posts, presentations, simple graphics, short-form video, written content, and other marketing materials, using AI and modern creative tools where appropriate.
  • Translate company, product, and technical milestones into clear, engaging external content in collaboration with internal subject-matter experts.
  • Plan and execute events, trade shows, site experiences, and brand activations, including concepts, vendors, materials, logistics, and onsite delivery.
  • Support PR and earned-media activity by preparing announcements, media materials, executive content, and other communications assets in partnership with internal and external specialists.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, manage multiple workstreams, and ensure content and activations are accurate, consistent, and delivered on time.
  • Present work and recommendations clearly and incorporate feedback quickly.

Benefits

  • Full coverage of employee base premiums for health, dental, and vision insurance; 70% coverage of spouse and dependent base premiums, with base and enhanced plan options.
  • Company-sponsored health savings and flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent-care expenses.
  • Company-paid short-term disability insurance; optional long-term disability and life insurance plans.
  • Flexible and generous paid time off, with opportunities to carry over unused PTO.

  • Monthly company-funded Lifestyle Spending Account for eligible work-from-home and commuting expenses, including gas, parking, and public transit.
  • Pre-tax commuter savings for eligible transit and parking expenses through Navia.
  • Ancillary benefits through Sequoia, including pet insurance and financial wellness programs.

  • Company-sponsored events and programs promoting an inclusive, values-driven workplace.
