About The Position

Corning Life Sciences is seeking a dynamic marketing professional to join its marketing communications team. This role involves transforming technical product information and scientific data into compelling marketing messages for scientists in research, bioproduction, and drug packaging. The team utilizes integrated marketing communications programs to connect scientists with solutions that advance their research, aid in drug development, and protect medicines, while also driving business growth and market share. The position will collaborate with internal business clients to develop integrated marketing communications strategies and tactics supporting 3D Cell Culture and Drug Discovery products, as well as key regional and CLS marketing objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a content marketing, digital marketing, or marketing communications role.
  • Integrated marketing communications program experience.
  • Experience with Life Sciences industry, other technical industry, or willingness to learn.
  • Strong project and budget management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A strong desire to develop winning marketing programs through creative thinking.
  • Digital marketing skills, including strong understanding of website content, social media, blog strategy, and partner/channel marketing.
  • Experience supporting executive communications or thought leadership content.
  • Strong writing, editing, content planning skills and ability to translate complex ideas into clear, audience-focused content.
  • Good business judgment and the ability to work to budgets.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners, including the ability to negotiate with and manage external vendors.
  • Familiar with marketing analytics.
  • Ability to provide feedback for video script development and editing.
  • Prior experience with social media content development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and tactical plans for business groups and key marketing programs in collaboration with commercial, business operations, and internal scientific teams.
  • Lead the strategy, execution, and implementation of integrated marketing communications tactical components across all relevant channels.
  • Develop, plan, and execute results-driven channel marketing programs in support of business growth goals and advantaged distributor relationships.
  • Monitor spending to ensure adherence to defined budgets.
  • Track campaign results and report on lead generation, ROI, and other relevant metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the buying journey and personas for assigned market segments by working with business, scientific, and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with digital SMEs on marketing automation (lead nurture, lead attribution), web, social media, webinars, SEO/SEM, and other digital strategies to generate awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Track results and optimize programs across all integrated marketing communications channels, both online and offline.
  • Work with internal design teams, video producers, and external agencies to develop creative assets.
  • Identify relevant industry events with cross-functional teams and develop event strategies, including integrated marketing communications programs to maximize attendance and engagement before, during, and after events.
  • Develop booth layouts, in-booth messaging, and graphics for industry events.
  • Identify and engage with industry third-party publications to secure paid rich content media placements to build awareness, thought leadership, and brand authority.
  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies, including research, ideation, writing, editing, and proofreading sales collateral, application notes, blog articles, infographics, videos, and e-books.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, scientific teams, and customers to develop enriched content for thought leadership and technical credibility.
  • Ensure all marketing communications adhere to Corning and CLS Brand guidelines, consulting with the Brand Specialist as needed.
  • Inform and share campaign strategies and materials with regional marcom counterparts for regionalization and participate in regular communications with regional teams.
  • Become familiar with Corning’s customer relationship management and marketing automation tools.
  • Manage external agencies, freelancers, and other vendors as needed.
