About The Position

Western Industrial is an industrial contractor serving industries, e.g., manufacturing, mining, utilities, and commercial clients across Arizona and the Southwest. For over 30 years, we've built our reputation on safety, quality, and the people who do the work. We're looking for a creative, organized communicator to help tell our story, both to our clients and to our own team. This position works directly with our CEO and owns the company's marketing, social media, advertising, and internal communications. It is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating content themselves, not just managing it. About 80% of the role is marketing and communications. The remaining 20% is executive support to the CEO, including scheduling, correspondence, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–7 years of experience in marketing or communications, ideally in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or B2B.
  • A strong portfolio showing social media content, writing samples, and photo or video work.
  • Hands-on skills with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, basic video editing, and social media scheduling tools.
  • Experience running paid social or digital ad campaigns.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Excellent writing skills and the judgment to write in the CEO's voice.
  • Highly organized, able to juggle deadlines and shift priorities without losing track of details.
  • Comfortable on active job sites and able to work around industrial environments while wearing required PPE.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and meet insurance requirements for driving company vehicles, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with WordPress or similar website platforms.
  • Drone photography certification (FAA Part 107).
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, safety culture, or the trades.
  • Experience supporting a CEO or senior executive.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, and publish content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other channels, including project spotlights, safety milestones, recruiting posts, and company culture.
  • Visit job sites to capture photos and video of crews, equipment, and completed work, following all site safety requirements.
  • Manage paid advertising for recruiting and business development, including digital ads, trade publications, and sponsorships, and track results against budget.
  • Maintain and update the company website with current projects, capabilities, and job openings.
  • Develop client-facing materials such as capability statements, project case studies, proposals support, brochures, and trade show displays.
  • Work with the CEO to write and produce messages for employees, including newsletters, video updates, announcements, and recognition programs.
  • Plan and run company events such as safety awards, holiday parties, employee appreciation events, client events, and community or charity involvement.
  • Coordinate branded apparel, signage, vehicle graphics, and promotional items.
  • Manage outside vendors such as photographers, printers, web developers, and agencies as needed.
  • Manage the CEO's calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, presentations, and reports on the CEO's behalf.
  • Prepare materials for leadership meetings, client meetings, and board or partner meetings.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Take on special projects as assigned by the CEO.
