About The Position

Anritsu is a provider of innovative communications test and measurement solutions. Anritsu engages customers as true partners to help develop wireless, optical, microwave/RF, and digital solutions for R&D, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance applications, as well as multidimensional service assurance solutions for network monitoring and optimization. Anritsu also provides precision microwave/RF components, optical devices, and high-speed electrical devices for communication products and systems. The company develops advanced solutions for emerging and legacy wireline and wireless technologies used in commercial, private, military/aerospace, government, and other markets. This is a short term contract opportunity only. As a Marketing Communications Contractor, you will support Anritsu's senior MARCOM and event marketing staff in the planning, preparation, and onsite execution of tradeshows, conferences, and industry events. This is a hands-on, highly visible internship. You will work alongside experienced marketing professionals, product managers, and field sales and applications engineers to bring Anritsu's exhibit presence to life — from pre-show logistics and shipping coordination through booth setup, daily show-floor operations, and post-show teardown and reporting. The role is ideal for a marketing student who wants real-world experience in live event marketing, brand presentation, and customer-facing communications within a global technology company. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Communications Manager and works in close coordination with onsite event MARCOM senior staff during show weeks.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Business, Communications, or a closely related field.
  • Able to support onsite event activities, including domestic travel, extended and irregular hours during show weeks (early setup, evening teardown), standing for long periods, and lifting/moving event materials as required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and comfortably with colleagues, customers, and vendors from multi-cultural and international backgrounds.
  • Attentive to detail and accurate in handling schedules, shipping documents, inventories, lead data, and branded materials.
  • Able to operate under minimum supervision, take ownership of assigned tasks, and follow through to completion.
  • Multi-task oriented, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced live event environment.
  • Public speaking ability — comfortable greeting attendees, delivering short product or booth introductions, and speaking in front of small groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Reliable and punctual, with a professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for customer-facing tradeshow environments.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and at times high-stress environment.
  • Able to work in a collaborative, consensus-based organization where teamwork and cooperation are critical to success.
  • Able to work independently, with minimum direction, to achieve personal and team goals.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and last-minute changes common to live events.
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude and a willingness to take on any task that supports a successful show.

Responsibilities

  • Booth setup and teardown: assist senior MARCOM staff with exhibit installation and dismantle, including assembly of displays, signage, graphics, demo stations, furniture, and AV equipment; verify booth layout matches approved floor plans and brand standards.
  • Logistics support: help coordinate pre-show shipping and receiving of exhibit properties, demo instruments, and collateral; track crates and freight, maintain inventory and packing lists, and reconcile returned materials after each show.
  • Event coordination: support show-service ordering (electrical, internet, rigging, drayage, labor), badge registration, hotel and meeting room blocks, shipping deadlines, and vendor follow-up; maintain event checklists, timelines, and status trackers.
  • Booth staff support: prepare and distribute booth staffing schedules, staff briefing materials, and daily show-floor updates; ensure staff have badges, demo scripts, giveaways, and collateral on hand; serve as a runner and first point of contact for onsite staff needs.
  • Greet and qualify booth visitors, provide a brief overview of Anritsu solutions, and route attendees to the appropriate product specialist or applications engineer.
  • Capture and enter lead data accurately using scanners and lead-retrieval systems; assist with post-show lead handoff to sales and marketing for follow-up.
  • Maintain booth appearance and readiness throughout show hours, including restocking literature and promotional items and keeping demo areas organized and presentable.
  • Support creation and preparation of event marketing materials such as signage copy, presentation decks, handouts, and digital content, in line with Anritsu brand guidelines.
  • Assist with in-booth theater and demo presentations, including timekeeping, audience gathering, and short scripted product introductions.
  • Photograph and document event activity for internal recaps and social media content.
  • Compile post-show recaps summarizing attendance, leads captured, costs, lessons learned, and recommended improvements for future events.
  • Perform other marketing communications support duties as assigned by senior MARCOM staff.
  • Up to 30% domestic travel
