About The Position

The Marketing & Communications Assistant is a creative, community-minded position assisting our Marketing and Development Department in both day-to-day operations as well as preparing for future events in accordance with CSBG and other funding source guidelines. The Assistant will gain experience in and exposure to social media strategy, branding, storytelling and event promotion, with opportunities to build a professional portfolio.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Experience using social media platforms
• Interest in the field of marketing, communications, nonprofits, or social services
• Valid Ohio Driver's license and/or Reliable transportation and ability to comply with agency’s insurance standards and policy.

Responsibilities

• Creating social media content and graphics
• Assisting with photo and video editing and short-form video concepts
• Writing community impact stories and fundraising messaging
• Researching social media trends and marketing ideas
• Supporting event planning and promotion
• Developing creative campaign ideas for community programs
• Supporting community impact initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
