We are currently seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to join our team. This position is a hybrid role with preference to be based out of Ontario. Reports to: National Marketing Manager. We are looking for a highly technical and commercially minded Marketing Automaton Specialist to lead patient engagement communications across email, SMS, and lifecycle marketing programs. This role is responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling personalized patient journeys that improve conversion, retention, resupply, and long-term patient value. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Klaviyo, or similar platforms, combined with strong marketing instincts, analytical rigor, and a passion for creating seamless digital experiences. This person will play a critical role in turning patient data, behavioural signals, and business priorities into automated communications that drive revenue and lifetime value (LTV).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, marketing automation, or digital communications.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is required.
  • Strong understanding of email and SMS best practices, deliverability, segmentation, personalization, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working with customer or patient lifecycle programs that drive retention and long-term value.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into action.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across marketing, operations, digital, and analytics.
  • High attention to detail with strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo, is an asset.
  • Experience in healthcare, ecommerce, subscription, or other retention-focused environments is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute email and SMS strategies that support full funnel lifecycle management for both clinic and eCommerce patients.
  • Build and optimize automated lifecycle journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Klaviyo based on behavioural, transactional, and engagement data.
  • Design messaging strategies, communication cadences, and channel orchestration that align with patient needs and business growth goals for various platforms.
  • Create, launch, and manage one-time campaigns, triggered communications, and always-on nurture programs.
  • Develop compelling, patient-centric storytelling and visually engaging communications by incorporating graphic design principles, ensuring all email and SMS touchpoints reflect strong brand standards and drive clarity, engagement, and conversion.
  • Partner with marketing, operations, ecommerce, and business teams to identify journey gaps and implement scalable communication solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Audience Builder, and core platform configuration.
  • Own execution within Klaviyo for campaign deployment, segmentation, automation flows, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Support data integrations and automation requirements across CRM, CDP, ecommerce, POS, loyalty, and other connected systems.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure high-quality execution across all digital communications.
  • Maintain strong data hygiene, audience management, consent practices, and database optimization across platforms.
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies that improve relevance, engagement, and conversion across the patient journey.
  • Use behavioural, transactional, and engagement signals to personalize communications and trigger next-best actions.
  • Apply testing frameworks to subject lines, content, timing, audiences, and journeys to continuously improve performance.
  • Monitor and improve deliverability, inbox placement, unsubscribe rates, and overall communication health.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and platform capabilities to enhance audience targeting, predictive segmentation, content variation, and performance insights.
  • Translate campaign and lifecycle performance into actionable insights that improve revenue, retention, and LTV.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators including open rates, click-through rates, conversion, program performance, retention, and revenue contribution.
  • Use data to identify drop-off points, churn risk, and growth opportunities across the patient funnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives that improve patient engagement and commercial outcomes.
  • Lead testing and quality assurance for all campaigns, automations, and journey logic to ensure flawless execution.
  • Ensure all patient communications comply with applicable privacy, consent, and regulatory requirements across Canada.
  • Support documentation of campaign logic, workflows, and communication frameworks to enable consistency and scale.
