About The Position

We are looking for a freelance, French-speaking, full remote Automation / CRM Engineer (Klaviyo) to join our partner agency, Bote.agency, to strengthen the CRM technical team. This is not a marketing role; it focuses on technical retention operations, thinking in terms of events, properties, triggers, and edge cases. The role involves managing the technical infrastructure for subscription-based DTC Shopify brands in cosmetics, lifestyle, and health, ensuring the smooth operation of Klaviyo, ReCharge, Skio, and Shopify. The campaigns and content are handled by the 'monteurs' team, and client relations by the Account team.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years in a technical role (dev, data, solutions/implementation, no-code, technical CRM ops).
• Natural technical logic: reasoning in if/then, comfortable with nested conditions.
• Ability to read API documentation (GET/POST/webhooks) and diagnose sync issues.
• Ability to build end-to-end automations (trigger → conditions → actions) on Klaviyo or another tool (HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Iterable, Make/n8n…)
• Meticulousness and rigor: double-checking, testing, and implementing safeguards against recurring errors without being asked.
• Daily use of Claude in workflow (debugging, documentation, segment logic generation).
• Clear written communication (Slack, async).
• Fluent French.

Responsibilities

• Building complex conditional Klaviyo flows: nested if/then/else logic, splits, triggers, exclusions (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, winback, post-diagnostic…)
• Debugging Shopify ↔ Klaviyo integrations: log reading, webhooks, data not syncing, profiles not entering flows.
• Technical QA: verifying each send before going live.
• Logical segmentation: translating needs into segments (AND/OR, time windows, exclusions).
• Maintaining APIs and data consistency (Shopify, Recharge, Okendo, Hive…)
• Coding dynamic HTML/CSS/Liquid in emails.
• Technical documentation, monitoring, and auditing.
