About The Position

The Marketing and Recruiting Specialist initiates, plans, and executes a variety of assigned projects, including marketing, brand management, recruitment, and other projects, initiatives, and activities as needed or as assigned to significantly and measurably contribute to the growth of the University of Arkansas’ Master of Science in Operations Management and Master of Science in Engineering Management programs. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships within the program, externally in other university offices or departments, and with external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Project Management, Public Relations, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • At least three years of professional experience in multi-channel marketing, brand management, or recruiting and student outreach.
  • At least two years of project management experience specifically planning, executing, and tracking cross-functional projects and operational initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on recruitment data and marketing metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and guide strategy.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering Management, Business Administration or Marketing from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Experience with higher education CRM platforms (e.g., Slate, Salesforce TargetX) and content management systems (CMS).
  • Experience in marketing and recruiting engineering, operations, or technical graduate education target audiences.
  • At least five years of professional experience in multi-channel marketing, brand management, or recruiting and student outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates, plans, and executes a variety of assigned projects, including marketing, brand management, and recruitment.
  • Contributes to the growth of the University of Arkansas’ Master of Science in Operations Management and Master of Science in Engineering Management programs.
  • Maintains, updates, and distributes digital (website, email, social media) and printed marketing collateral to ensure messaging accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Manages timelines, resources, and deliverables for both marketing and non-marketing operational projects.
  • Manages diverse administrative and operational projects that support overall program health.
  • Builds consensus and collaborates effectively with program leadership, faculty, and administration.
  • Represents graduate-level academic programs to prospective students, university leadership, and external industry partners.
