About The Position

Gateway - Birmingham's first child and family services agency - seeks an energetic and organized customer service-oriented professional to be the Marketing and Recruiting Manager for Gateway's Therapeutic Foster Care Program. This position offers a rare opportunity to make a real difference for children in Therapeutic Foster Care and the foster parents who care for them. This professional leads the recruitment and licensing processes for foster parents, ensuring a truly positive experience for each one. Management responsibilities include leadership and coaching the staff team and foster parents, bringing innovative new ideas for marketing and managing Gateway's social media outreach. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter and effective project manager who is truly passionate about engaging potential resource parents to explore the personally rewarding opportunities of fostering. Since 1891, Gateway staff have been changing the game for generations of children and families in Alabama.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in social services, marketing, communications, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated track record of success with recruitment, volunteer management, community organizing, chamber of commerce/business development or sales.
Good written and verbal skills.
Proficiency with social media, electronic health records, and Microsoft Office.
Availability to work a flexible schedule with evenings and weekends as required.
Reliable transportation.
A clean driving record.
Insurance as required by Gateway’s insurer.
