About The Position

This position performs a variety of complex assignments in support of the Director of Public Relations. This position will be instrumental in the development and execution of Public Relations plans and strategies. This job description is intended to identify some of the primary duties and responsibilities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Passion for Public relations industry
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with copywriting, editing, and social media platforms.
  • 1-2 years of experience in hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees public relations and marketing efforts for the District, ensuring consistent messaging across internal and external communications.
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements marketing strategies and campaigns to promote District services, programs, and initiatives.
  • Manages and maintains the District’s website, including content updates, coordination with the contracted website developer, and ensuring accuracy, functionality, and alignment with organizational messaging.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with contract marketing personnel, vendors, and media partners to execute marketing and communication initiatives effectively.
  • Assists in the development and distribution of public relations and marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, digital content, videos, and promotional campaigns.
  • Writes, edits, and proofreads content for social media, press releases, email communications, website content, and other public-facing materials.
  • Oversees and maintains social media platforms and media contact lists to support outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Serves as a liaison between departments to support internal communication needs and ensure alignment of messaging across the organization.
  • Responds to public, patient, and stakeholder inquiries related to marketing, communications, and public relations, or directs them appropriately.
  • Conducts research and gathers information to support marketing initiatives, community outreach, and public relations strategies.
  • Ensures all marketing and communication materials reflect the District’s mission, values, and brand standards.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with community partners, media representatives, and external stakeholders.
  • Professional behavior is demonstrated, both when on duty and as a representative of MMHD outside of normal work hours.
  • Ability to work with others, at all levels within the organization, and collaborate effectively.
