About The Position

HWY1 Baja Bowls & Burritos is seeking a creative and self-starting Marketing and Outreach Specialist to help make their brand a go-to spot for fresh food in Madison. This role involves running social media content, pitching local PR angles, assisting with mail-marketing, identifying local influencers for partnerships, and developing guerrilla marketing stunts. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on social media, enjoys generating innovative marketing ideas, and is eager to see their concepts implemented quickly with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student
• Natural at social media (Instagram/TikTok/Facebook)
• Strong writer
• Full of ideas and not afraid to pitch them
• Comfortable working independently and making things happen without needing to be told exactly how
• Prior marketing coursework is a plus
• Track record of having an idea and making it happen (personal social presence, campus involvement, side projects)

Nice To Haves

• Marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred
