About The Position

The Marketing and Outreach Specialist leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of outreach, education, and marketing strategies to increase public awareness of ADRC services. This position builds community relationships, coordinates evidence-based prevention and early intervention programs, maintains ADRC marketing materials, including the agency website, and publishes the monthly ADRC newsletter. The role also identifies unmet community needs and supports continuous quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in marketing, communication, health promotion, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum two years, 2, of related professional experience; equivalent combinations considered.
  • Experience in consumer education, marketing, or customer service involving older adults or individuals with disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
  • Strong marketing, communication, and public presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Canva and other web-based platforms.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Uses good judgement to balance independent work with appropriate supervisor consultation.
  • Positive interpersonal skills include tact, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, including frequent sitting, walking, standing, and manual tasks; occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds; and maintaining required vision abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach presentations and represent ADRC at community events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Identify unmet community needs through outreach experiences, staff feedback, and partner collaboration.
  • Maintain and update marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, displays, and handouts.
  • Regularly update and enhance website content to reflect current services, events, and initiatives.
  • Publish and distribute the monthly ADRC newsletter.
  • Maintain relationships with community organizations
  • Update and manage statewide resource database entries to ensure accurate community information.
  • Responsible for researching community services through diverse sources to produce dependable and accurate information
  • Coordinate evidence-based programs, including partner outreach, scheduling, registration, and reporting.
  • Collect data and consumer feedback to evaluate outreach, education, and program effectiveness.
  • Support departmental efficiency, collaboration, and mission fulfillment.
