About The Position

The Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for driving local brand awareness, building community partnerships, managing social media content, and coordinating in-studio or pop-up wellness events to convert prospective clients into loyal members. This position is a part-time position requiring occasional weekend, early morning, and/or evening work and reports to the Studio Manager or Owner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, social media content creation, event coordination, or boutique fitness/hospitality operations
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling tools
  • Design skills using Canva or Adobe Suite
  • High energy, warm interpersonal communication, strong organization, and a genuine passion for Pilates and wellness.
  • Willingness to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support live studio events and classes (15-25 hours per week)
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills in-person, via phone, and email
  • Professional, trustworthy, and punctual

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with studio management software (e.g., Mariana Tek) is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage content calendars for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including creating Reels, Stories, and instructor spotlights.
  • Write engaging class/event descriptions, email newsletters, SMS campaigns, and design simple graphics using tools like Canva.
  • Maintain accurate information on Google Business Profiles and local listings to boost search visibility.
  • Help design, print, and distribute in-studio signage, flyers, and retail promotional materials.
  • Plan, promote, and execute studio workshops, themed classes, brand-building pop-ups, and community tabling events.
  • Build relationships with local businesses (e.g., cafes, athleisure boutiques, spas) for cross-promotions, influencer gifting, and community wellness events.
  • Oversee event setups, manage guest check-ins, coordinate vendor or speaker logistics, and troubleshoot live events.
  • Engage attendees at community events to collect lead info and guide them toward intro-class bookings and founding memberships.
  • Partner with the front desk/sales team to track event attendees and follow up with trial clients to convert them into package or membership buyers.
  • Track event attendance, social media engagement rates, and lead-to-member conversion tracking spreadsheets or CRM tools.
