About The Position

Melissa Memorial Hospital is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing and Engagement Specialist to support both internal and external communication and outreach efforts. This role will help promote hospital services, employee initiatives, events, and health programs through engaging digital and print content. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling, design, and engagement who enjoys creating content that informs, connects, and strengthens relationships with both employees and the community.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Experience with basic video editing for digital or social media use
  • Experience creating or editing basic marketing materials such as flyers, advertisements, presentations, or digital content
  • 1-2 Years experience supporting marketing, communications, employee engagement, or community outreach initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with hospital staff

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a healthcare, nonprofit, or community-based organization
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports marketing campaigns for hospital services, providers, recruitment, and community events.
  • Assist with social media content planning, posting, and basic analytics tracking.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives including Employee of the Month, recognition programs, and internal campaigns.
  • Support community outreach events, health fairs, hospital week activities, and special events.
  • Assist with creation and editing of flyers, ads, graphics, presentations, and basic digital content.
  • Maintain marketing calendars and support marketing project coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital branding standards across materials.
  • Assist with website updates and coordination with external vendors as needed.
  • Provide general administrative and project support related to marketing, engagement, and communication initiatives.
  • Serve as backup support to Recruitment Specialist
  • Other duties as assigned
