About The Position

This work-based learning position is for Transition Academy Students Only. The Marketing and Development Associate will report to the Marketing and Development Director. The role involves assisting in organizing campaigns, grant writing, and developing marketing strategies. This position is crucial for the smooth operation of the Marketing department, the attainment of its goals, and the long-term growth of the company. It allows students to practice skills learned in prerequisite and Year 1 classes, exploring career opportunities in Marketing and Development. The student will complete an application and interview the manager of the assigned work-based learning site.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing manager/coordinator, internal teams, clients and partners on marketing strategy.
  • Help identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
  • Assist the grant writing department.
  • Learn and work with various types of software for digital marketing and graphic designing.
  • Work closely with development and marketing.
  • Learn and help create marketing materials such as white papers, case studies, and presentations.
  • Help develop and assist with delivering presentations.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing and sales team.
  • Preparing, formatting, and editing a range of documents.
  • Understanding company product and brand.
  • Helping create and interpret a variety of documents/reports.
  • Organize market research.
  • Learn how to analyze questionnaires and other forms of feedback.
  • General office duties as assigned.
  • Attend donor meetings and events.
