About The Position

Dayspring Academy serves Pasco County learners from Pre-K through 12th grade through an arts-integrated education. We are building an educational family that develops character-driven, culturally literate lifelong learners who contribute to their communities. Marketing and Communications leads the Academy’s marketing, communications, recruitment, community engagement, fundraising communications, and brand strategy. Working with executive and campus leaders, the Director develops clear, consistent messaging that supports enrollment, hiring, fundraising, and Dayspring’s long-term growth. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, Education, or a related field.
3-5 years professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, community relations, fundraising, recruitment, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic marketing or communications initiatives.
Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and priorities.
Experience with digital marketing, social media, content development, and multimedia communications.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with community partners and organizational stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience in education, nonprofit, charter school, or community-based organizations.
Experience leading fundraising campaigns or capital campaigns.
Experience with enrollment or student recruitment marketing.

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee a network-wide marketing and communications strategy aligned with Dayspring Academy’s mission, vision, and organizational goals.
Advise executive leadership on marketing, branding, public relations, and community engagement.
Develop annual plans and measurable goals that support learner enrollment, staff recruitment, fundraising, and organizational growth. Use data and stakeholder feedback to assess results and adjust strategies.
Establish Dayspring Academy’s voice, messaging, brand standards, and communication guidelines. Oversee the appropriate use of its name, logo, imagery, video, and written materials.
Ensure consistent, professional communication across campuses, departments, and platforms, and increase public awareness of Dayspring Academy’s programs, accomplishments, and community impact.
Partner with enrollment, campus, and Human Resources leaders to identify recruitment needs and develop targeted campaigns.
Communicate Dayspring Academy’s academic programs, arts-based environment, learner opportunities, culture, benefits, and career opportunities to prospective families and employees.
Develop advertisements, testimonials, videos, career materials, and social media campaigns, including targeted outreach for hard-to-fill positions.
Monitor campaign performance and refine outreach to strengthen enrollment, hiring, and Dayspring Academy’s reputation.
Direct the strategy and production of website content, newsletters, social media, videos, photography, graphics, and other digital communications.
Establish workflows and approval processes for campus and network-wide public communications.
Guide and train campus administrators and staff on communication practices and brand standards.
Create processes for identifying and sharing learner, staff, and campus accomplishments.
Monitor audience engagement and emerging platforms to improve the reach and effectiveness of communications.
Build and maintain relationships with businesses, nonprofits, civic organizations, foundations, community leaders, and other partners.
Represent Dayspring Academy at community events, career fairs, fundraisers, meetings, and other public engagements.
Develop partnerships that expand learner experiences, internships, staff recruitment, fundraising, and community involvement.
Create presentations, proposals, and informational materials that communicate the value of partnering with Dayspring Academy.
Lead communications for Dayspring Academy’s annual Gala, capital campaign, and other major fundraising initiatives, from planning through follow-up.
Develop messaging and materials that explain each initiative’s purpose, capital needs, growth plans, and anticipated impact on learners and the community.
Create sponsorship materials, donor communications, invitations, presentations, videos, digital campaigns, and print resources.
Partner with leadership and fundraising teams on donor and sponsor outreach, presentations, supporter recognition, attendance, and fundraising goals.
Coordinate campaign communications across channels, evaluate results, and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
