About The Position

HL Mando America Corporation has an opening for the position of Marketing & Business Planning Analyst I. This role involves establishing midterm sales plans and supporting sales plans for North and South America using SAP. The analyst will update and upload forecast databases to generate monthly and yearly expected sales revenue for global financial reports. A key responsibility is to develop and strategically define a yearly target business acquisition plan to secure new business orders from major OEMs for continuous revenue growth in North America. The position requires analyzing marketing metrics to identify cause-and-effect relationships between financial outcomes and marketing actions to improve profitability. The analyst will collaborate with HQ counterparts in Korea for sales planning and acquisition targeting, serving as a liaison between U.S. Account Managers and Korean management. Market research will be conducted to understand brand perceptions, customer needs, market penetration, and competitors. The role includes managing the company database (OEM, Program/Product information) in ERP and SAP, building marketing dashboards, and completing competitive analyses. Market research information will be integrated into the company system to identify new opportunities. The analyst will collect and distribute daily market information on customer activities, industry trends, and political/economic issues. Market intelligence analysis will guide strategic decision-making and prepare reports for HQ and NA office management. Industry analysis (Technological, Social, Political, and Economical) will be performed for market intelligence reports sent to the Chief Management Officer in Korea. The role also involves monitoring competitor and customer news, evaluating and approving sales recognition requests, reconciling recognized sales with actual shipments, and reviewing customer contracts for system alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 40hrs/week.

Responsibilities

  • Establish Midterm Sales Plan and support Sales Plans for North and South America via SAP, including updating/uploading forecast database to generate monthly and yearly expected sales revenue for global financial reports.
  • Develop and strategically define yearly target business acquisition plan to win new business orders from major OEMs for continuous revenue growth in North America based on Sales Plan.
  • Analyze marketing metrics for identifying effect/cause relationships between financial outcomes and marketing actions to raise profitability.
  • Work with HQ counterparts in Korea for sales planning and acquisition targeting, acting as a bridge between U.S. Account Managers and Korean management.
  • Conduct market research for determining brand perceptions, understanding customer needs, evaluating market penetration, and analyzing competitors.
  • Manage company database, including OEM and Program/Product information, in ERP and SAP for seamless connectivity among Sales & Marketing company systems.
  • Build marketing dashboards, which visualize fundamental performance indicators.
  • Complete competitive analysis for maintaining the company competitor advantages.
  • Integrate market research information with company system to develop new opportunities.
  • Collect market information about customer activities, industry trends and political economic issues in North America and the world to distribute on a daily basis.
  • Analyze market intelligence to provide guidance in company’s strategic decision-making process and to prepare various reports for HQ and NA office management/executive meetings.
  • Conduct industry analysis: Technological, Social, Political, and Economical for market intelligence reports sent directly to Chief Management Officer in Global Sales & Marketing Center in Korea.
  • Monitor and track press releases and news about competitors and customers’ status that would affect HL Mando business.
  • Evaluate and approve additional sales recognition requests by validating data accuracy, program timing, and contract compliance.
  • Partner with Finance and Sales to reconcile recognized sales with actual customer shipments, pricing structures, and contractual terms.
  • Review customer contracts—pricing, indexation, commercial terms—to ensure alignment between negotiated agreements and internal systems.
