About The Position

An FSM Account Strategist is the primary marketing consultant for a portfolio of client partners, leveraging the high-quality services provided by FSM’s production teams to achieve client goals. The position is responsible for building relationships with all clients in the portfolio, devising their intentional marketing strategies, communicating the value provided by those ongoing strategies, and acting as liaison between clients and the internal team. Account Strategists evaluate digital reports to inform strategy, write creative briefs to convey client initiatives, coordinate closely with Project Managers to produce desired outcomes, manage day-to-day client needs, and complete other duties that ensure the continued success of FSM and its clients. The position reports to the Director of Partnership.

  • Marketing Expertise (comprehensive knowledge of the marketing landscape, experience leading diverse campaigns and MarComm efforts, strategic thinker, adept at devising client-specific marketing strategies)

  • Discernment (ability to accurately evaluate situations, foresee and understand implications, manage time based on understanding of priorities)

  • 3+ years of marketing and communications experience in an agency environment (additional experience on the client-side is strongly considered)

Responsibilities

  • Listen to, understand, and consult with clients on their needs and goals
  • Ideate and facilitate solutions to help drive client initiatives, documenting tactics in Account Plans
  • Convey client needs/goals and context to the internal team verbally and in writing
  • Navigate all client interactions with a focus on partnership and workability
  • Prepare and present strategies, media plans, and creative concepts at client meetings
  • Conduct daily and weekly client interactions, proactively reaching out to clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce effective deliverables and outcomes for clients
  • Appropriately balance internal and external demands so that all work is completed in a timely fashion according to its urgency
