About The Position

The Market Pricing role is responsible for supporting, influencing, and providing thought leadership to the development of local market strategies, with focused support in new affordability solutions being brought to market. Additionally, Market Pricing Leads (MPLs) ensure market level pricing factors are best estimate, locally compliant, and approved by regulators. To perform this work, MPLs are responsible for earning and improving market partner trust and understanding of price by having a thorough understanding of the local market dynamics. Additionally MPLs are responsible for continuously evaluating and improving pricing tools and providing daily support to sales, underwriting, contracting, and medical economics market partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting, Mathematics and/or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of financial analysis or related work experience
  • Enrolled in Cigna’s Financial Leadership Development Program
  • Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of a strong desire and demonstrated ability to lead
  • Drive to develop business and actuarial skills through ongoing training and varied rotations
  • Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working at home occasionally or permanently.
