About The Position

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Market President to join their team. Our client is a well-established financial institution known for its strong community presence, relationship-focused approach, and commitment to delivering high-quality banking solutions. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving market growth, leading branch teams, and enhancing overall customer experience. The Market President will oversee sales performance, portfolio management, and team development while collaborating across business lines to achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Proven business development and relationship management skills
  • Solid understanding of commercial lending, credit analysis, and financial statement interpretation
  • Ability to analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and banking products
  • Experience collaborating across business lines to achieve shared goals
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in banking or financial services
  • Formal credit training or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall market performance, including growth in deposits, loans, and referrals
  • Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships to support business development objectives
  • Collaborate with business line leaders to drive sales initiatives and achieve branch goals
  • Promote a customer-first culture and enhance the overall client experience
  • Manage and grow a commercial loan portfolio, including credit analysis, structuring, and approvals
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks early, and ensure sound underwriting practices
  • Oversee delinquencies, collections, and complex credit situations in partnership with senior credit leadership
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to branch teams
  • Drive employee engagement, recruitment, and professional development within the market
  • Monitor market financial performance, including balance sheet and income statement metrics
  • Represent the organization in the community through active involvement in civic and professional activities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements
