About The Position

The Market President will collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and Region Manager to implement a strategic 360-degree growth approach across all business lines. This role drives business development through proactive outreach, relationship cultivation, and value-added financial solutions. The Market President acts as the primary liaison for high-value business members, providing financial consultation, product recommendations, and tailored services. They are responsible for understanding financial structures, assessing needs, and recommending appropriate deposit and lending solutions. This position also involves preparing and presenting loan requests, maintaining documentation accuracy, monitoring commercial accounts, and representing the Credit Union at community events. Additionally, the Market President provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to department personnel, oversees employee performance and timesheets, assists with budget preparation, and ensures all activities adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes a member-first mindset, a "Find A Way" approach, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Chief Operating Officer and Region Manager to implement a strategic 360-degree growth approach across all business lines (consumer, commercial, mortgage, investment, etc.).
  • Drives business development through proactive outreach, relationship cultivation, and value-added financial solutions.
  • Acts as the primary liaison for high-value business members, providing financial consultation, product recommendations, and tailored services.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to all business services inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and member satisfaction.
  • Visits regularly with business members and prospects to understand financial structures, assess needs, and recommend appropriate deposit and lending solutions.
  • Prepares and presents loan requests within the authorized credit limits or to the Loan Committee as needed.
  • Maintains responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of all pre- and post-closing documentation and procedures.
  • Monitors select commercial accounts for delinquency and implements appropriate collection strategies in coordination with internal teams.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of all Business Services functions and supports team operations as needed.
  • Provides education and training to internal team members regarding business products, lending guidelines, and service expectations.
  • Represents the Credit Union at community functions, business events, and networking opportunities to expand brand awareness and cultivate referral sources.
  • Conducts field visits to businesses within the Credit Union’s field of membership to offer solutions and gather market intelligence.
  • Stays current with local economic conditions, industry trends, and evolving regulations affecting commercial banking and lending practices.
  • Ensures all activities adhere to internal policies, lending standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Meets or exceeds individual and departmental goals related to loan production, deposit growth, and net income generation.
  • Regularly reports progress toward goals and proactively adjusts strategies as needed.
  • Provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to department personnel to ensure performance aligns with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Leads by example as a proactive, results-driven professional who fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively communicates, inspires, and motivates team members while celebrating successes and addressing challenges with transparency.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews to assess and guide employee development.
  • Oversees employee timesheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor policies.
  • Assists with the preparation and management of the department’s annual budget with a focus on accuracy, resource optimization, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assists with the department business continuity and vendor management initiatives to ensure operational resilience and effective third-party partnerships.
  • Prioritizes MAX’s overall success over individual achievements, consistently demonstrating a member-first mindset and a commitment to trust and core values.
  • Utilizes a "Find A Way" approach and continuous improvement methodologies to identify and implement solutions that enhance team performance and member experience.
