About The Position

The Market Manager - Chicago is responsible for managing and strategically growing Vinarchy’s business within an assigned market through strong leadership, distributor partnership, and best-in-class in-market execution. This role is highly field-based and focuses on building brand presence, driving distribution and sales performance, and strengthening relationships with key on- and off-premise accounts. You'll partner closely with the Regional General Sales Manager and distributor teams to deliver commercial targets and accelerate growth across the territory. This role is fully field-based and requires 100% in-market presence, supporting distributor execution, customer engagement, and brand growth across the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the wine, spirits, beverage alcohol, or CPG industry
  • Strong understanding of distribution, promotion, and selling techniques within the beverage industry
  • Experience working closely with distributor partners and managing key stakeholder relationships
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and planning capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory

Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue, distribution, display, and by-the-glass targets set by the Regional General Sales Manager
  • Drive strong brand presence and market penetration across both on-premise and off-premise channels
  • Develop new volume opportunities through placements, promotions, and feature programs
  • Manage and influence distributor partners to ensure strong execution against financial targets and KPIs
  • Deliver sales training and brand education to distributor sales teams on market trends, category insights, and selling techniques
  • Build and maintain relationships with key national, regional, and independent accounts
  • Execute brand investment and promotional plans while evaluating ROI and performance
  • Partner cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, trade marketing, and finance teams to drive growth initiatives
  • Monitor market performance and ensure all activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Lead best-in-class market activation and execution across the assigned territory
