About The Position

Join Brown-Forman as the Market Manager for the On-Premise Market in Kentucky! In this vibrant region, drive brand success through innovative strategies, build impactful relationships, and ensure flawless execution. This role involves serving as the primary point of contact with key on-premise account groups, covering the entire Brown-Forman portfolio of brands. You will design, develop, and implement key customer-focused win-win initiatives that enhance Brown-Forman and customer profitability. Establishing and nurturing positive customer rapport at all levels across Kentucky is crucial. You will conduct business performance reviews with distributor leadership to achieve state plans, and partner with Brown-Forman National Account Teams and Regional Distributor Account Teams to ensure flawless execution of Independent and Chain programs. Communicating cutting-edge programs and execution plans to distributors and customers, and developing/executing on-premise brand-building plans in collaboration with the distributor in Kentucky are key responsibilities. You will also champion the on-premise effort at the point of purchase, ensuring superior distributor execution of brand initiatives, and engage with and influence key external contacts, including distributor partners, retailers, consumers, and agencies. Collaboration with Old Forester Distillery and Woodford Reserve to manage home market expectations by proactively coordinating key account dinners, market visits, and other customer engagements is also part of the role. Additionally, you will lead on-premise teams to gather local market feedback for specific brand plans, setting clear objectives and priorities, coordinate communication of plan adjustments based on market performance and success, manage budget responsibilities, and oversee the development and activation of all on-premise programs. You will lead the execution of on-premise pull programming and all branded initiatives, execute the Brown-Forman business plan with the on-premise team, holding them accountable for results, and manage third-party promotion agencies for on-premise, ensuring alignment with Brown-Forman business and brand plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in the beverage alcohol and/or beverage industry with a proven track record of meeting key metrics and a strong, consistent presence in the market with key accounts and customers.
  • Strong coaching and sales training skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, while actively seeking opportunities to collaborate with leaders across various channels, functions, and geographies.
  • Able to prioritize the overall Brown-Forman business needs above specific territory or team needs.
  • Ability to travel and work nights and weekends as required, with a valid state driver’s license and the capability to lift 60 pounds.
  • Systems Proficiency i.e. Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and/or other business operations software.
