About The Position

This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, primarily by researching and identifying potential referral sources and customers, with a special emphasis on independent insurance agents and daily route stops. The Market Development Representative will analyze prospects, competitors, and industry trends to find growth areas within the insurance and property restoration sectors. A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining strong business relationships through consistent in-person and outbound communication, aiming to generate direct business requests and meet weekly goals. The position also requires diligent use of a CRM system for tracking interactions and client feedback, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to sales targets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data logging.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and persuade.
  • Comfort with in-person outreach, daily route planning, and relationship-based selling.
  • Strong systems and process-driven approach to achieving results.
  • Professional demeanor in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential referral sources and customers, focusing on independent insurance agents and daily route stops.
  • Analyze prospects, competitors, and industry trends to identify growth areas.
  • Build and maintain positive business relationships with existing clients and cultivate new ones.
  • Conduct in-person and outbound touchpoints with independent insurance agents and route-based partners.
  • Engage with key decision-makers to drive business and meet weekly goals.
  • Maintain CRM system integrity through data entry, updates, and analysis.
  • Track interactions, insurance agent relationships, daily route activity, and client feedback in the CRM.
  • Keep referral sources informed on job statuses to ensure satisfaction and strong relationships.
  • Contribute to sales by generating quality leads, increasing agent-generated referrals, expanding route penetration, and strengthening referral relationships.
