ISO New England is looking for a curious, tech-savvy college student to join our Day-Ahead & FTR Market Applications team and gain real-world experience where software development, data analytics, AI, and the electric grid intersect. The Day-Ahead & FTR Market Applications team builds and supports the technology behind efficient electricity market operations. This collaborative team delivers reliable, innovative solutions that help keep the grid operating smoothly while advancing one of the nation’s most forward-looking electricity markets.

Requirements

• Rising junior pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Knowledge of or experience with Python, Java, Oracle, Postgres, or other relational databases
• Interest in using AI tools for code development, analysis, automation, or productivity improvements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Enhance, test, and automate applications that support wholesale electricity markets.
• Work with experienced professionals, explore real market data, and contribute to software and analytics projects.
