About The Position

This course explores Earth's local family, consisting of two types of major planets, newly identified dwarf planets, many moons orbiting the planets, and millions of smaller objects such as comets and meteoroids. This course examines how these groups are similar and different, how the solar system formed, and how our solar system compares to the systems of other stars. The position involves marking assignments, quizzes, term tests, and/or the final examination for the AST101H5F - Exploring the Solar System course.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Astronomy or Physics
  • Sound knowledge in contents covered in the course
  • Good communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience marking assignments, quizzes, tests and/or final exam in Astronomy an asset to be able to evaluate students' work consistently within the UofT's standards.
