Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant post-secondary education or experience.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proactive approach.
  • Ability to manage own time and workload to meet internal and external expectations.
  • Must be proficient in all areas of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English (written and verbal).
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the activities of the maritime import department to ensure courteous and efficient customer service while maintaining a competitive cost structure for both CEVA Logistics and our clients.
  • Keep clients informed of the status of their shipments.
  • Understand and adhere to maritime import procedures.
  • Receive customer orders and send them to the origin agent to coordinate shipments with suppliers.
  • Follow up with agents to ensure shipments are dispatched on schedule.
  • Receive bills of lading from overseas agents.
  • Open shipment files and enter data into the operational system according to company ISO standards.
  • Update events in the cargowise system.
  • Inform clients by email of their shipment details and arrival date.
  • Maintain shipment files with documents received from agents.
  • Invoice clients and ensure all fees for services rendered are included and that rates are charged in accordance with the agreement (verify credit with the accounting department as needed).
  • Select an approved shipping provider from the list of approved ISO providers.
  • Other tasks as defined by the immediate supervisor.
