About The Position

This role is responsible for collecting and reporting all information pertaining to US Port Calls, supporting the Marine Operations Managers in the field, and ensuring Geneva HQ is properly informed. The position involves creating and maintaining reports to track patterns and trends in Marine Operations, performing front-line problem solving for issues arising from operational misreporting, and acting as a liaison between Operations personnel, vessel planners, and other departments. The role requires using MSC USA's proprietary IT system for data retrieval, recording, and analysis, escalating complex issues to supervisors, and providing feedback on corporate practices and metrics to support process efficiencies. The position also includes performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience analyzing data and trends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel, PowerBI and other reporting tools
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain environment (ocean maritime industry preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Creates, implements, and maintains reports used to track patterns and trends for Marine Operations.
  • Front-line problem solving for all issues resulting from operational misreporting.
  • Acts as a liaison between Operations personnel, vessel planners, and other departments seeking answers and/or information.
  • Uses MSC USA proprietary IT system to retrieve, record and analyze information.
  • Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
  • Provides feedback regarding current corporate practices and metrics in order to support process efficiencies.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
