Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician or electrician apprentice.
  • Strong electrical skills.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical diagrams.
  • Adept at independently installing electrical circuits according to project specifications.
  • Skilled in testing and repairing electrical malfunctions.
  • Experience installing AC/DC low voltage systems as well as electronic control systems.
  • Fabrication skills.
  • Familiarity with basic welding techniques.
  • Solid understanding of electrical standards, including USCG, ABYC.
  • Able to follow print as laid out by lead.
  • Able to terminate under guidance of a lead.
  • Able to fit electrical components under guidance of lead.
  • Physical ability to work at heights and tight spaces.
  • Humble attitude.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good communication and relational skills.
  • Attentive to safety.
  • Team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Marine experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and commissioning of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Reading electrical and mechanical diagrams to accurately determine job requirements.
  • Installing circuits as directed by supervisors.
  • Conducting thorough tests to identify and repair malfunctions.
  • Installing AC/DC low voltage systems and assembling electrical components, ensuring compliance with all necessary standards.
  • Working carefully, keeping your workspace clean and orderly.
  • Fabricating wireways and foundations with minimal supervision.
  • Pulling and grooming wire with minimal guidance.
