About The Position

The Margin & Collateral Analyst works within Market Operations on the Collateral Services Team, which supports bilateral OTC derivative collateral requirements and related settlements. The role primarily serves buy-side clients, including hedge funds, investment advisors, and asset managers, while partnering internally with sales and marketing, Prime Brokerage, Credit, Middle Office, and Line of Business Operations teams. The analyst helps improve client services, productivity, and operational efficiency while gaining exposure to the firm’s business operations.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing margin calls efficiently and accurately, and provide clients with transparency about calls when needed.
• Ensure agreed transfers are eligible under the applicable legal document.
• Respond to client inquiries and coordinate with Front/Middle Office and core processing teams to resolve issues as needed.
• Identify and resolve client disputes involving collateral and trade settlement discrepancies.
• Perform operational, financial, and reputational risk mitigation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and external clients.
• Work independently with limited supervision, remain client-focused and control-oriented, and meet strict deadlines.
