Manufacturing Welder - 1st Shift

NIC Global•Gallatin, TN

About The Position

NIC Global is seeking a production welder to perform manual MIG and TIG welding, including TIG welding aluminum and stainless steel. The position also supports the robotic welding area when needed; training is provided. Work involves welding repetitive parts in production quantities, from small to large runs. Candidates must pass an on-site welding test before receiving an employment offer. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for four 10-hour days and 40 standard hours per week. Overtime may be available when needed by the company. The position includes physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for a 10-hour shift with breaks. Because welding produces electromagnetic interference, a physician’s authorization may be required for individuals with pacemakers or similar devices. NIC Global is a single-source manufacturer providing mechanical and electromechanical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and global sourcing of metal and plastic components. The company employs more than 600 people across Washington, Tennessee, Ohio, and Texas. It describes its workplace as supportive and offers employee appreciation and recognition events. Benefits include insurance eligibility beginning the first of the month after 30 days, including health, dental, life, AD&D, long-term disability, and vision coverage, along with optional additional life, accident, and critical illness insurance and health and dependent-care FSAs. After six months, employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan with employer match and tuition reimbursement.
