About The Position

The Technician-IV. MFG.Maintenance is responsible for providing technical support to personnel and production lines for Assembly and Feeders to ensure the best functioning and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. All tasks must be performed following safety regulations, quality standards, and the policies and procedures established by the company. Main Tasks by assigned areas: MANUFACTURING 1. Provide technical and operational support to the production area. 2. Provide technical support for the implementation of changes, equipment, machinery, and/or new processes and products. 3. Develop operational sequences for products manufactured on the lines and corresponding documentation. 4. Develop operational procedures and methods for production lines as required. 5. Assist production department personnel in analyzing and solving problems on manufacturing lines and/or quality standards through motion and time studies and/or statistical analysis. 6. Document results of motion, time, and operational sequence studies, provide input/suggestions on possible modifications and corrective actions. 7. Review and ensure processes follow product specifications. 8. Assist in the implementation of equipment/fixtures and tools, as well as their validations. 9. Support in the implementation of engineering and process changes (MCO/TCR). 10. Support in the deployment of new revisions of manufacturing documentation and folders. 11. Create and/or update MILs, SW, WRA, MOC, and visual aids as needed. 12. Assist in set-up changes for some manufacturing equipment. 13. Assist in the integration and validation of new products and associated activities to improve their processes. 14. Assist in the testing area of the Assembly Department, which includes daily support, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement (KAIZEN). Additional Main Tasks: TESTERS 1. Assist in the testing area of the Assembly Department, which includes daily support, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, maintenance, and continuous improvement (KAIZEN). 2. Provide recommendations to improve qualification processes, reduce PPM, increase capacity, increase On-Time Performance (OTP), and improve safety. 3. Assist in process improvement projects to enhance plant indicators (PPM, warranty claims, Fill Rate, OTP, yield, and scrap). 4. Provide daily support to the testing area, including the Process Control and Test (PCaT) system. 5. Assist with routine and unusual problems related to test equipment and breakers. 6. Perform data analysis and prepare reports, such as yield. 7. Assist in monitoring test processes/performance. 8. Assist in equipment analysis and validation using Six Sigma tools to identify and implement improvements, such as MSA. 9. Assist in maintenance services for Production and test equipment. 10. Ensure all equipment documentation is in place and updated (e.g., manuals, PM, calibrations, spare parts). 11. Perform and maintain the schedule for equipment calibrations and PMs. 12. Assist in the validation of new and existing test equipment by performing qualification tests. 13. Create and update MILs, visual guides, LOTO procedures, WRA, MOC. 14. Provide third-party support for test equipment development and qualification activities. 15. Assist in troubleshooting routines using Test Stand and Labview. 16. Work on and document PCaT recipes. 17. Assist in safety remediation projects. Both areas: 1. Follow up on the implementation of temporary or permanent corrective actions, ensuring compliance with established objectives and efficiencies. 2. Provide training to production personnel on methodology, processes, analysis, and reports related to time and operational sequence studies in production areas. 3. Conduct safety and ergonomics studies as required and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. 4. Assist in the development, evaluation, and implementation of special projects as needed by the production areas. 5. Directly assist the immediate supervisor and/or engineer of the assigned production area in carrying out projects, improvements, and analyses to achieve operational efficiencies. 6. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in existing and/or future operational processes. 7. Maintain work areas clean and report unsafe conditions that may affect employee safety. 8. Comply with established health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures. 9. Actively participate in meetings with department personnel to discuss operational and/or administrative aspects of the company. 10. Comply with the norms, policies, and procedures established by the Human Resources department and the company. 11. Acquire proposals and generate purchase orders. 12. Assist in capital projects. 13. Promote and disseminate all MESH processes and policies to everyone and ensure they are carried out in their area. 14. Discuss key metrics in Tier 2, using Power BI information to define rapid response actions. Follow up on actions with the corresponding work team. Support the use of the system throughout the plant. 15. Discuss key metrics daily with support and production personnel (safety, quality situations, previous day's production, actions and use of Power BI system, Visual Controls, Tier). 16. Support and maintenance of PCaT and PDES in the manufacturing area through connectivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic, industrial, or chemical engineering.
  • Manufacturing Engineering - 1 year or less of experience in manufacturing environments, processes, and advanced complexity industrial equipment, may include project experience such as Capstone, COOP, or work internships.
  • Testing Engineering - 1 year or less of experience in equipment automation, PLC programming, electronic and mechanical components of automated equipment, may include project experience such as Capstone, COOP, or work internships.
  • Read, write, and speak Spanish - advanced level.
  • Read, write, and speak English - advanced level.
  • Knowledge of quality-related processes (troubleshooting, CQM, and DMR) and ISO9001.
  • Knowledge of processes and tools related to the Lean methodology.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate the Windows operating system.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate the AS-400 system.
  • Knowledge in the operation and handling of instrumentation and circuit tools.
  • Knowledge in multiple operational processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematics.
  • Technical knowledge in health and safety.
  • Knowledge of audits.
  • Ability to plan daily tasks and/or coordination.
  • Knowledge in Test Stand and LabView for testing.
