About The Position

The Digital Manufacturing and Analytics Group is looking for a Manufacturing Technology Deployment Engineer. This position is located within the RFC (Radio Frequency) Semiconductor foundry in Andover, MA, a 24/7 high‑mix manufacturing environment producing microwave monolithic integrated circuits for various RTX products. The fab requires strong on-floor support to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent use of the digital systems that enable factory operations. The Engineer will be serving as the primary on-the-floor representative for the group. The core responsibility is to ensure that engineers and operators can effectively use our factory applications, including the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Fault Detection Control (FDC) application, and homebuilt interfaces at specific tools. As system deployments mature, this position shifts into a sustainment and continuous improvement role.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, and/or Manufacturing Technology.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments or a background in systems engineering, industrial engineering, or computer science.
  • Clear communication, confidence, and the ability to earn trust and credibility when training and supporting operators and engineers with decades of experience.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain training materials.
  • Document escalation pathways.
  • Curate internal knowledge to support long-term user adoption.
  • Lead recurring training sessions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify workflow improvements.
  • Serve as the consistent point of contact between our group and our fab‑floor stakeholders.
  • Introduce new interfaces to applications to the production environment through hands-on training, guided adoption, and close support during the initial rollout.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities to implement the physical elements of these technologies—such as mounting tool‑side tablets, positioning workstations, ensuring network accessibility, and various peripheral (scanners) installations—ensuring that digital tools are integrated smoothly into the fab’s workflow.
