About The Position

Responsible for ensuring quality parts are produced and/or assembled by conducting visual and touchpoint inspection of parts produced by a press, while meeting production rates or efficiency requirements.

The role conducts routine inspections, supports problem-solving across safety, quality, and productivity, maintains workplace organization and safe practices, and communicates trends or potential issues to the team and leadership. It may also include trainer duties, including completing trainer qualifications, teaching manufacturing systems and philosophies, evaluating trainees, and providing clear feedback and direction.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• General computer skills.
• Ability to perform each essential duty effectively.
• If designated as a trainer, pass the Trainer interview and Train the Trainer course and demonstrate competence in training on manufacturing systems and philosophies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine visual and touchpoint part inspections according to a standard to ensure quality parts are produced.
• Work as a team member to identify and solve problems related to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Maintain workplace organization (5S).
• Understand and ensure compliance with product labeling requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following PPE requirements and safety policies.
• Communicate trends and potential problems to the leader, group tech lead, and co-workers.
• Attain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck license if required.
• Perform additional functions as directed by the leader.
• For trainer-designated employees: pass the Trainer interview and Train the Trainer course; demonstrate the ability to train associates on manufacturing systems and philosophies; explain those systems and philosophies and their impact on quality and the business; evaluate trainees and complete required assessments; provide clear feedback to trainees and leadership; and direct trainees to appropriate contacts for questions, concerns, and ideas.
