About The Position

The VFC Group, a national leader in lightning protection installation, is seeking a dependable, organized, and responsible individual who is interested in a career in Lightning Protection manufacturing. This role involves operating machinery and fabricating lightning protection components, product assembly, monitoring inventory, minimizing waste, driving to pick up and deliver materials, keeping accurate production records, performing routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and production areas, and developing and sustaining a lean manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Applicants must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Experience in manufacturing or willing to train
Experience operating machinery
Skill using and maintaining metalworking tools (e.g. drill press, chop saw, subcompact band saw)
Experience with forklift operation
Experience with inventory management

Responsibilities

Operate machinery and fabricate lightning protection components.
Product assembly.
Monitoring inventory of raw materials.
Minimizing waste.
Driving to pick up and deliver materials.
Keeping accurate production records.
Performing routine maintenance/cleaning of machinery and production areas
Developing and sustaining a lean manufacturing environment (e.g. point of use storage, 5s/organized workplace), and packing/shipping/receiving goods.
