About The Position

OP Specialty Bracing is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to manufacture custom bracing products from measurements, casts, and scans. Products include ankle/feet braces, scoliosis/spine braces, and Plagiocephaly helmets for infants. The role involves following specific instructions and detailed work orders. Available schedules are first shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., or second shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school degree.
• Willingness to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
• Dependable transportation.
• Ability to work with hands and good visual capabilities to assess symmetry.
• Capability for some heavy lifting of 30 to 50 pounds.
• Basic math skills, including reading tape measurements and following written instructions.
• Good reading and comprehension skills, and ability to learn medical terms pertaining to human anatomy.
• Basic computer skills to open and send documents and input information.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture custom bracing products from measurements, casts, and scans by following specific instructions and detailed work orders.
• Use hands and visual capabilities to assess symmetry.
• Use basic hand tools, including a drill press, jig saw, hand saw, and rotary grinders.
• Perform some heavy lifting of 30 to 50 pounds.
• Apply basic math skills, including reading tape measurements and following written instructions.
• Read and comprehend instructions and learn medical terms pertaining to human anatomy.
• Use basic computer skills to open and send documents and input information.
• Perform other duties as needed.
