About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician supports Machinist and Manufacturing by assisting with product validation, tooling and equipment setup, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and gauge/device management. The role is hands-on and detail-oriented, contributing to a collaborative manufacturing team. The position is located in Rockville, Maryland.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational school education required.
• Hands-on use of common hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills.
• Hands-on use of measurement devices, such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and documentation.
• Ability to read and write simple work instructions and equipment procedures.
• Experience with Quality and Safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking clearly.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of experience with tools and measurement devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering with troubleshooting product and process difficulties.
• Resolve tooling, equipment, and process parameter issues to support Manufacturing.
• Perform preventative maintenance work orders for tooling and equipment.
• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment to support safe and efficient production.
• Document and maintain Lockout/Tagout procedures and occurrences.
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses for manufacturing equipment in compliance with Company safety requirements.
• Independently set up and take down thermoforming presses.
• Assist with Quality Control functions on the manufacturing floor.
• Prepare logistics documentation and ship finished parts.
• Document and maintain production data, quality checks, and equipment logs.
• Guide machine operators on procedures and best practices.
• Participate in creating and implementing shop improvements related to efficiency and workflow processes.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
