As a Manufacturing Technician, you will become a first line of defense for safe, quality ingredient receiving and batching. You will have the opportunity to work in one of three production departments: BUS (Batching, Unloading, Slurry), Processing, or Packaging. You will take ownership of the equipment and processes in your area, reinforcing key standard routines and sustaining successful daily operations. The schedule for this role will start out on day shift for orientation and training. After several months of training have been completed, associates will move to working a 2-2-3 schedule either on day shift (6am-6pm) or night shift (6pm-6am).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 6+ months experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or related high-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, load and unload materials and ingredients entering and leaving the factory while maintaining accurate inventory data
  • Test incoming ingredients for quality specifications and take appropriate actions to respond to variances
  • Operate and maintain automated batching, processing and/or packaging equipment to include performing startup, shutdown and daily changeovers on equipment based on production schedule
  • Manage inventory levels of materials through bin measurements and system monitoring
  • Utilize digital tools to track and communicate daily performance metrics within your area of responsibility
  • Execute factory production processes and policies including Lock-out-tag-out standards, quality test sampling, keep area clean and audit-ready, and complete paperwork as necessary
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives in the factory and participate in team meetings for improvement ideas and escalations.
