Position Summary The Manufacturing Technician supports the Manufacturing Engineering team by assisting with the development, execution, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for RK Mission Critical’s modular power and data center products. This role works hands-on in the factory environment to support design for manufacturability (DFM) initiatives, process validation, tooling implementation, and build sequencing while serving as a critical feedback loop between engineering and production.

Requirements

  • Technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly environment (modular, electrical, or industrial preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment and supporting hands-on builds.
  • Willingness to learn lean manufacturing principles and manufacturing engineering concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to provide constructive feedback to engineering teams.
  • Ability to follow procedures, document work, and support process discipline.
  • Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Prompt, punctual, and regular attendance during core business hours, in an office environment (not a telecommuting position), currently located in the Aurora, including a reliable means of transport to and from work.
  • Ability to occasionally travel between corporate offices and jobsites within the Greater Denver Area, during work hours.
  • All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.

Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing Engineers in the setup, validation, and improvement of assembly and integration processes for modular products.
  • Assist in the sequencing of production builds, development of standard work instructions and transition of critical to quality (CTQ) characteristics from design to production.
  • Support process trials, pilot builds, and engineering builds, documenting observations and issues.
  • Assist with time studies, cycle-time measurements, and data collection to support lean initiatives.
  • Review and provide design for manufacturing (DFM) feedback on work instructions, shop drawings, and build documentation.
  • Identify and escalate manufacturing issues, defects, or inefficiencies observed on the production floor.
  • Support root cause investigations by collecting data, testing corrective actions, and validating improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining process documentation, including work instructions, standard work, and process change records.
  • Collaborate closely with production personnel, quality, and engineering to support safe and repeatable builds.
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives driven by Manufacturing Engineering.
