About The Position

This position, an Electronic Technician, is responsible for building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying development and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of electronics technical college/Must be a grade 4 solder or showcase the ability to achieve.
  • 2 years in manufacturing or similar
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Well developed and proven organizational skills
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Statistical background for information evaluation, process improvement techniques, and implementation skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours.
  • High level of competence in the use of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint, and Portal.

Responsibilities

  • Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
  • Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering instruction for the assembly and repair of electronic units.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.
  • Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronics components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics.
  • Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron.
  • Procure parts and maintain inventory and related documentation.
  • Maintain working knowledge of state-of-the-art tools or software by reading or attending conferences, workshops, or other training.
