Manufacturing Technician - ACA - 2nd Shift

About The Position

The Manufacturing Tech I will be part of the ACA manufacturing team and safely operate production lines and machines. The role requires following procedures, producing quality products efficiently, and being mindful of costs in a challenging, dynamic, team-based manufacturing environment. The schedule is second shift, Monday through Thursday, 3:45 p.m. to 2:15 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen and ongoing random drug screens.
Able to lift between 15 and 40 pounds repeatedly each day.
Self-starter with integrity and confidence who can work toward challenging goals with limited supervision.
Able to comprehend and follow work instructions, apply basic math, and use handheld measurement devices.
Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable in a cross-functional, multicultural environment.
General understanding of manufacturing operations.
Good time management.
Must wear safety glasses and steel-toe shoes at all times; some positions require earplugs at all times.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle.

Responsibilities

Adhere to and promote AFL’s environmental, health, and safety policies.
Monitor production and conduct efficient machine changeovers.
Ensure products meet quality specifications and daily production goals are achieved.
Accurately enter production and quality data using a computer.
Achieve and maintain assigned production process certifications.
Maintain assigned work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Assist other operators with machine setup and operation as needed.
Document and report quality issues.
Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks on time.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
