Manufacturing Technician - ACA - 1st Shift

About The Position

The Manufacturing Tech I is part of AFL’s ACA manufacturing team and is responsible for safely operating production lines and machines. The role requires following procedures, producing quality products, meeting productivity goals, and remaining mindful of costs in a challenging, dynamic, team-based manufacturing environment. The schedule is first shift, Monday through Thursday, 4:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year of manufacturing experience.
Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen and ongoing random drug screens.
Able to lift 15 to 40 pounds repeatedly each day.
Able to comprehend and follow work instructions, apply basic math, and use handheld measurement devices.
Self-starter with integrity and confidence who can work toward challenging goals with limited supervision.
Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable in a cross-functional, multicultural environment.
Good time management.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle.
General understanding of manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Adhere to and promote AFL’s environmental, health, and safety policies.
Monitor production and conduct efficient machine changeovers.
Ensure products meet quality specifications and daily production goals are achieved.
Accurately enter production and quality data using a computer.
Achieve and maintain assigned production process certifications.
Maintain the assigned work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Assist other operators with machine setup and operation as needed.
Document and report quality issues.
Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks on time.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
